Refund and cancellation policy
This policy applies to booked employment consulting sessions and multi-session return-to-work plans with Smartdevconnect in Germany.
Eligibility
Fees paid for consulting sessions that have not yet taken place may be refunded or credited according to the timeframes below. Fees for completed sessions are generally non-refundable.
Cancellation timeframe
- Cancel 72 hours or more before a scheduled session: full refund of that session fee, or free reschedule
- Cancel between 72 and 24 hours before: 50% refund, or reschedule with a €25 administrative fee
- Cancel less than 24 hours before, or miss the session (no-show): no refund for that session
Multi-session plans and deposits
Return-to-Work Planning may require a deposit to reserve the block of sessions. If you cancel the entire plan before any session occurs and outside the 72-hour window for the first session, the deposit is refundable. After work has started — including intake notes and document drafting — the deposit covers work already performed and is non-refundable; unused future sessions follow the single-session rules above.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule once per session at no charge when notice is given at least 72 hours ahead. Further reschedules may incur a €25 fee. We will offer alternative slots within a reasonable period around childcare constraints when capacity allows.
Document review
Lebenslauf and application review fees are refundable in full if you cancel before we begin editing. Once a revised draft has been delivered, the fee is non-refundable. Minor follow-up edits within seven days of delivery are included; a new round after major career changes may be quoted separately.
Refund process and method
Email info@smartdevconnect.digital with your name, session date, and reason for the request. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Work already started
If sessions have begun or written materials are partly prepared, we refund only the unused portion after deducting time already spent at the applicable session rate.
Exceptions
Serious illness, sudden Kita closure on the session day, or comparable emergencies may be considered for goodwill rescheduling even inside the 24-hour window; refunds in those cases are decided individually.
